My name is Andrea and around the internet I go by dreamorosi (dre ɑmɔˈroʊsi) - a mix of my name and last name. I’m a software engineer, currently working at AWS as a Senior SA Engineer focused on Serverless technologies.

I’m originally from Italy 🇮🇹, but I’ve been living in Spain 🇪🇸 for the past 8 years. In my free time I like to learn new things, play video games, good food, and explore new places with my partner.

At AWS, I maintain and set the direction of Powertools for AWS Lambda, a developer toolkit for Serverless used in over 250B+ requests/month by AWS customers of all sizes. Powertools for AWS is open-source and available in multiple languages, including Python, TypeScript/Node.js, Java, and .NET. I was one of the founding members of the TypeScript version of the project, on which I have been working since 2021.

Before AWS, I worked as a consultant for Accenture where I got passionate about cloud technologies and location-based services, something I still enjoy working on today as a subject matter expert on Amazon Location Service in AWS.

I have a degree in Digital humanities which sounds unusual, but it’s basically about understading how technology can help us understand and analyze human culture. This is how I got into software developement and what got me started as a freelancer Full Stack Web Developer back in 2014.
